For cleaning temporary files I recommend both Windows Disk Cleaning and the TempCleaner software. But before doing Windows Disk Cleaning, I recommend disabling "Compress old Files" option. In theory, that option aims gaining extra free space by compressing old files. But compressing files on the disk causes slowing down the system while reaching them. You may download the regedit file below to fix that problem. Also if that option is not disabled, it takes too long time to find the files to clean.
